As evidence mounts of Iran’s nefarious nuclear intentions, one wonders how many times this must be said: “Every passing day brings Iran’s totalitarian regime closer to building the bomb,” for people to start believing it. Back in 2006, I had reported on this very topic at the Western Standard, The Devil’s Advocate.
VIENNA — Iran’s recently revealed uranium enrichment hall is a highly fortified underground space that is a year away from completion after fitful construction that first started seven years ago, diplomats told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The diplomats …

It seemed fitting with the news coming out of Iran to revisit this article I wrote back in 2006 at the Western Standard. Are we headed for another round of failed diplomacy?
Iran’s democrats are furious that former U.S. attorney general Ramsey Clark is protecting the mullahcracy he helped install
Every passing day brings Iran’s totalitarian regime closer to building the bomb. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recently announced that Iran “has joined the club of nuclear countries.” In February, Britain’s Telegraph reported that Tehran’s mullahs had issued a fatwa “sanctioning the use …

Today, on this day when the memorial service was held at Fort Hood for the 13 victims who were murdered by suspected terrorist, Major Malik Nidal Hasan, we learn this:
The FBI issued a press release today, November 9, in which they said Major Malik Nidal Hasan was noticed by them as early as December 2008. His activities at the time attracted the interest of “one of their Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTFs).” Hasan was communicating with the subject of an unrelated investigation by the JTTF team.
They stated that a review …

The headine for this article from the Tehran Times is slightly misleading if you thought Ayatollah Moqtadae, the Iranian cleric, was referring to extremism against all non-Muslims and Westerners. He meant extremist groups that regard Shias as infidels.
It’s worth noting that Ayatollah Khomeini again called on all Muslims to “unite against the enemy.” The enemy of course is the Great Satan – America et al.
TEHRAN – The director of Iran’s seminaries, Ayatollah Moqtadae, has called on Muslims to denounce extremist groups that regard Shias as infidels and call for …

More: President Barack Obama did not attend the 20-year anniversary celebration. Instead he sent a video. BBC has it.
Update: Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s remarks at the Brandenburg Gate. Some selective history telling here, like declining to acknowledge former President Ronald Reagan, Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, or Poland’s military and state leader, General Wojciech Jaruzelski for example, although President Obama was acknowledged as “someone who …

Tehran – Iran is refusing to send its low-enriched uranium abroad for further processing, the influential head of parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee was quoted as saying on Saturday.
“We do not want to give part of our 1 200 kilos of enriched uranium in order to receive fuel of 20% enrichment,” Alaeddin Borujerdi told the ISNA news agency.
“This option of giving our enriched uranium gradually or in one go is over now. We are studying how to procure fuel and (Ali Asghar) Soltanieh is negotiating to find a …

Dr. Tawfik Hamid, the author of the must read “Inside Jihad,” was a former associate of Dr. al-Zawahiri (second in command of al-Qaida), recruited at medical school. He is a reformer of Islam and brings to the forefront the critical issues concerning the Fort Hood tragedy.
Take a look:
When Shariah teaches disrespect for non-Muslims’ life, why should we be surprised when we hear about a dedicated religious Muslim who follow such teaching if he commits barbaric acts against non-Muslims?
Muslims must stop blaming Westerners who link violence to …

Today, on the 30th anniversary of the Iranian hostage crisis where 53 Americans were taken hostage at the American Embassy in Iran and held captive for 444 days, massive protests are breaking out in Iran. President Obama issued this statement.

While it is no secret that America’s immigration system is broken, and this longstanding system breakdown adversely affects America’s national security and economy, the latest Rasmussen Report shows, “By a 70% to 22% margin, voters say that gaining control of the borders is more important than legalizing the status of undocumented workers already in the country.”
