Tomorrow morning, July 1, President Obama will deliver remarks on the need to fix America’s broken immigration system. Undoubtedly, millions of illegal aliens, and those people who are thinking about jumping the border will be listening intently to make plans. But the largely ignored legal immigrants will also be listening in hopes for legal immigration reform. I am referring to the legal immigrants who followed America’s laws, and who have been stuck in the broken, backlogged, and dysfunctional United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) for years.
I am also referring …

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg might want to retool some of his immigration reform initiatives within his new national coalition, the Partnership for a New American Economy, and team up with Arizona Governor Jan Brewer to tell the federal government to “do their job.”
Why?
Because the Mayor’s idea to give immigrant investors green cards to create jobs for Americans already exists. It’s called the EB-5 category for Immigrant Investors. In fact, the EB-5 has been on the books since 1990—that’s twenty years. The problem is the federal government-run United …

With a stroke of a pen, will President Barack Obama deem a path to citizenship, ah hem, amnesty as the nation’s latest new law for an estimated 12-20 million illegal aliens by using his executive powers? According to Numbers USA, “a non-partisan site, that has “Democrats, Republicans, Reformers and Independents” among their “advisors” and in their “offices,” that’s precisely what seven senators are trying to find out.
In a letter sent to President Obama on June 20, 2010, signed by Sens. Grassley, Hatch (R-Utah), Vitter (R-La), Bunning (R-Ky.), Chambliss (R-Ga.), …

Here’s an advance peek at the Rolling Stone article, The Runaway General, by Michael Hastings that has rocked the Obama Administration, and more importantly, rocked the fate of the war in Afghanistan.
“How’d I get screwed into going to this dinner?” demands Gen. Stanley McChrystal. It’s a Thursday night in mid-April, and the commander of all U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan is sitting in a four-star suite at the Hôtel Westminster in Paris. He’s in France to sell his new war strategy to our NATO allies – to keep …

More than 1000 American troops have been killed in Afghanistan fighting an enemy whose ideology in part loves death more than life. With the war in Afghanistan getting deadlier by the day, freelance writer Michael Hasting’s profile, the “Runaway General,” in Rolling Stone Magazine has triggered a public relations war: the Obama White House v. Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top commander in Afghanistan, after he made disparaging remarks about President Obama and other top administration officials including Vice President Joe Biden, Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, General Jim Jones and Ambassador Karl …

It was 60 years ago, in June 1950, when America’s war to defeat communism began in Korea. It was two decades later when self-described “communist” Americans — part of the Weather Underground Organization (WUO), actively worked to defeat capitalism to transform America into a socialist state. Two of those Americans, President Obama’s family friends, were William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn. Some insights into their plans and ideology can be seen in Osawatomie, “the revolutionary voice of the WUO,” a 35-page newspaper published by WUO in 1975-1976.
“The …

Despite facing a violent if not deadly crackdown at the hands of Iran’s murderous Regime, on the one-year anniversary of the Green Movement in the Islamic Republic of Iran, brave Iranians have taken to the streets in protest.
CNN reporting: Clashes erupt in Iran as night falls on election anniversary
Tehran, Iran — Saturday began with calm on the streets of Tehran but clashes erupted later in the day between Iran’s security forces and crowds of people gathering at the key sites to mark the first anniversary of a contested presidential election.

June 12 marks the one-year anniversary of the Green Movement in the Islamic Republic of Iran where Iranians initially rose up to protest the fraudulent reelection of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The protests quickly turned into a lethal fight for freedom against Iran’s murderous and oppressive theocracy. For weeks that ran into months, protestors were imprisoned, tortured and killed. Yesterday the Iranian opposition leaders Mir Hussein Moussavi and Mehdi Karroubi issued a joint statement calling off the planned protests intended to commemorate this anniversary. The reason why? They cannot get permits. …

Last September I had the great pleasure and privilege to meet Debbie Lee at Walter Reed Medical Center while covering a mission to provide laptops for wounded warriors. Debbie Lee’s son, Marc Alan Lee, was the first U.S. Navy SEAL killed in Iraq on August 2, 2006. Since then, she’s dedicated her life to helping troops and their families. She’s also gone to Iraq to support the troops and to personally see where her son spent his last moments before his passing. In an interview with the Huntsville Conservative Examiner, …

It might be 2010 but because the Obama White House has taken another page out of the Clinton White House play book, it feels a lot like it is 1998.
This latest episode features the Congressman Joe Sestak Affair and the-job-offer-for-the-non-paying-job-to-fix-an-election-scandal. Sestak-Jobgate appears to be a dubious remake loosely based on the 1998 impeachment success: it-was-all-about-sex (not obstruction of justice) Clinton-Lewinsky scandal.
Some of the notable differences, however, include President Bill Clinton’s paramour, Monica Lewinsky, a Pentagon staffer at the time, thanks to the Clinton White House, received more than one paying …
