Memo to JournoList: FBI Docs Show Alliance between Obama’s Associates, Rev. Wright’s Theology and Bill Ayers
Declassified FBI Documents show an ideological alliance with Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Black Liberation Movement and Bill Ayers’ Weatherman.
Prior to the 2008 election, the Obama Presidential campaign’s narrative, echoed by the media, told voters that any reporting on then Presidential candidate, Sen. Barack Obama’s, dubious associations with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers was nothing more than a desperate distraction.
Last week The Daily Caller reported, Documents show media plotting to kill stories about Rev. Jeremiah Wright. In it, Jonathan Strong reports the collusion which existed among liberal journalists, part of the now defunct online community JournoList, to save their candidate, Obama, from his twenty-year Black Liberation Theology pastor, and mentor, Rev. Wright’s, incendiary and anti-American statements.
I can’t help but wonder if a similar collusion transpired in reference to Obama’s family friend, Bill Ayers, the unrepentant terrorist, founder of the Weather Underground Organization (WUO), who launched Obama’s political career from his Chicago home.
Shouldn’t voters have known everything there was to know about Obama’s dubious associations with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers, their ideology, and how that might affect his policies before they cast their vote? Shouldn’t the voters have known whether or not Obama shared his “associates” ideology?
For me, the answer is and was yes (my email queries to the Obama campaign about this prior to the election went unanswered), but according to some journalists on JournoList the answer was a resounding no.
Now eighteen months into the Obama Administration, we are arguably witnessing the fallout of Obama’s “change.” With President Obama’s ratings plummeting, more and more Americans are deeply concerned with the Obama Administration’s policies. A poll of 1,000 voters conducted by Democracy Corps, James Carville and Stan Greenberg’s polling group, for instance, taken in mid-June found that 55% said the word “socialist” fits President Obama, “well” or “very well.”
There was, however, and remains an open source that sheds a bright light on Obama’s “associates” ideology, declassified FBI files. I reported from them prior to the elections. Among many interesting facts and history, the FBI detailed the ideological connection between Ayer’s Weathermen to the Black Liberation movement, Rev. Wright’s theology. Did that have an influence on Obama’s relationship with them?
Because the FBI files appear to be prophetic, I am re-reporting some of the information from them again as they document Obama’s “associates” Marxist-Leninist ideology; their inspiration which was derived in part from Mao Tse-tung, Che Guevara and Fidel Castro (consider Van Jones and Anita Dunn for example). Obama’s “associates” are internationalists (consider Obama’s actions with the United Nations), who are bent on America’s destruction — from within. They tell us how America must be “smashed.” America is a capitalist “pig” (consider re-distribution of wealth), and an “imperialist empire” that must be “destroyed.”
Following is a sample:
Dated August 20, 1976, the FBI summary states: The Weather Underground Organization “(WHO) investigation is an excellent example of the native born American who adopts the faith of an alien ideology…the purposes of which to serve …his revolutionary obligations to the international communist movement and…create the conditions for revolution in the mother country.”
“The goal” of the WUO “is the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism… and “struggles within the US will be a vital part of this process…”
“The point of the revolutionary youth movement strategy is to move from a predominant student elite base to more oppressed (less privileged) working-class youth as a way of deepening and expanding the revolutionary youth movement… This is part of the strategy to reach the entire working class to engage in struggle against imperialism…it is both important and possible to reach young people wherever they are—not only in the shops, but also in the schools …to recruit them to fight… A good program mobilizes and teaches…”
In May 1974, WUO published “Prairie Fire” which “is self-described as the ‘Political statement of the Weather Underground.” In a May 9, 1974 letter bearing the names Bill Ayers, his wife, fellow terrorist, Benardine Dohrn and Jeff Jones (The New York state Apollo Alliance Director who reportedly wrote President Obama’s stimulus legislation), reveals an alliance to Rev. Wright’s theology—the Black liberation movement. As the FBI documents quote:
“We made the choice to become a guerrilla organization…when the Vietnamese were fighting a heroic people’s war, defeating…the most technologically advanced military power…At home, the struggle and insurrection of the Black liberation movement heightened our commitment to fight alongside the determined enemies of the empire…This defined our international responsibility and our duty as white revolutionaries inside the oppressor nation… We are part of a wave of revolution sparked by the Black liberation struggle… every movement must learn to fight correctly, sometimes retreating, sometimes advancing. But fighting the enemy must be its reason for being. …The way America will aid the victory of the people of the world is…by helping to create a front in support of black and brown liberation here, and by tearing up in the gut of the monster. Destroying the bureaucracy, the pig army, showing initially that the US not only can’t hold together an empire but can’t even hold together white people.”

If so, then the fallout from the JournoList’s collusion, and other media malfeasance which occured during the 2008 election to protect their candidate for President might just be beginning.

Latest article on JournoList from The Daily Caller: Journolist debates making its coordination with Obama explicit
Sarah Palin’s speech to the 2008 Republican convention impressed more than a few doubters, including even some members of Journolist, an online community for liberal journalists.
“This speech is gangbusters,” wrote Ari Melber of the Nation. “Her tone is pitch perfect.” Adele Stan of the Media Consortium agreed: “Palin is golden.”
The exuberance appeared to unnerve the Guardian’s Michael Tomasky. “People get a hold of yourselves!” Tomasky wrote to his fellow Journolisters. “It’s a very good speech with good lines. But there’s very little substance.”
Rebecca Traister of Salon wrote to say she was grateful for Tomasky’s message discipline. (“This is a reassuring sentiment, since at the moment, I feel like we’re in End Times.”) But the rest of the country apparently didn’t agree. Polls a few days later showed Obama’s lead in the race had narrowed to virtually nothing.

Journey into the Media’s Heart of Darkness
Yesterday at 12:36pm
How ironic that on a day when we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, The Daily Caller released 15 pages of JournoListers’ email exchanges about a dark and demented conspiracy regarding my son, Trig.
It’s tough to fittingly describe these numerous members of the mainstream media who actively engaged in the debate about this conspiracy back when I was first introduced as John McCain’s running mate, and it’s impossible to legitimize any “prominent” media publication that continues to traffic in this bizarre narrative today. It wasn’t just a few fringe characters in that JournoList discussion. It included writers for major newspapers, magazines, and online news publications. Those participating in this immature exchange in attempts to plant seeds of doubt and falsely accuse even included a famous historian.
This JournoList exchange exposes the warped nature of today’s media, thus explaining why many of us are forced, in fairness to the public, to utilize other mediums to communicate until the mainstream media wakes up and begins respecting the public’s intelligence and desire for truth in reporting. There is a sickness and darkness in today’s liberal media. With revelations like the JournoList exchanges, may the light keep shining to expose the problem.
It’s always darkest before the dawn. My hope, therefore, is that today, marking the anniversary of our nation’s attempt to show respect for our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters with special needs, will also mark the beginning of a new, more respectful discourse among members of our media who at least aspire to be fair and objective. – Sarah Palin
