Update from What Bubba knows

It would be interesting to create a poll with these two photos and have people guess what’s happening. I suspect that most would never assume anything close to the real story. It appears to be a joyous homecoming, a reuniting of mother and son.
The truth is not so heart warming.
The lady in the picture is the mother of an American that was ambushed in Fallujah, Iraq. Her son was murdered. His body was dragged around in the streets of the city, then …

Iran Authorizes 10 New Nuke Plants, State Media Say…Update

This is not a surprise for those who have been watching Iran’s actions and actually taking them at their word when they say such things like “Death to America” while sending lethal weapons into Iraq and Afghanistan, for starters. This latest move, in Iran’s continued quest for hegemony in the region and beyond, will probably only be a surprise to those who thought it was possible to negotiate with the largest state sponsor of terrorism. I am afraid time will show what a mistake it was for the leaders …

AP: Iran Tells Norway To Stay Out of Nobel Medal Row

Iran, the largest state sponsor of terrorism, not only told Norway off today but also rejected the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) censure that rebuked the regime for secretly building a uranium enrichment plant. Iran claims the move was “intimidation” which would poison its negotiations with world powers.
TEHRAN, Iran -Iran summoned Norway’s ambassador Friday and said the country had no right to criticize the Islamic Republic for confiscating Nobel Peace laureate Shirin Ebadi’s medal.
In Norway, where the peace prize is awarded, the government said the confiscation of the gold …

For those who believe that negotiations with the Iranian Regime are possible, might want to know that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has made it abundantly clear again that the Iranian Regime will continue to wage war against the enemy. “Presently the fight against the enemy’s soft war is top priority,” he said.

By Lahem al Nasser
Riyadh, Asharq Al-Awsat- There are around 47 million Muslims in Russia, which means that Muslims make up around one third of Russia’s overall population. This figure is expected to rise to 50 percent by 2050 due to the high birth rate among the Muslim community, the decrease in the non-Muslim Russian population which is decreasing at a rate of 1 million people per year, as well as the immigrations …

While the Obama Administration told the Iranian people risking their lives in their fight for freedom from the murderous Regime that the U.S. would not “meddle” in Iran’s internal affairs, Canada wholeheartedly supports the Iranian People and the Green Revolution.

complaining “to friends that his movements and contacts are being unjustly controlled by the government, whose bidding he did — providing a potential motive for his disclosures.”
Read full report. Accounts by controversial scientist assert China gave Pakistan enough enriched uranium in ’82 to make 2 bombs

Clinton’s Iranian Connection

This came via Pamela Geller’s fearless Atlas Shrugs.
Rachel Ehrenfeld, the courageous author of Funding Evil: How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop it, uncovers this latest Clinton Iranian Connection
On Dec. 19, 2008, at 2 p.m., the New York-based Alavi Foundation, which supports Iranian causes, contributed between $25,000 and $50,000 to the William J. Clinton Foundation. This can be best described as the ultimate chutzpah, for on the very same day, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York indicted the president of the Alavi Foundation, Farshid …

AP: Iran nuke plant 7 years old

As evidence mounts of Iran’s nefarious nuclear intentions, one wonders how many times this must be said: “Every passing day brings Iran’s totalitarian regime closer to building the bomb,” for people to start believing it. Back in 2006, I had reported on this very topic at the Western Standard, The Devil’s Advocate.
VIENNA — Iran’s recently revealed uranium enrichment hall is a highly fortified underground space that is a year away from completion after fitful construction that first started seven years ago, diplomats told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The diplomats …

Iran: The Devil’s Advocate

It seemed fitting with the news coming out of Iran to revisit this article I wrote back in 2006 at the Western Standard. Are we headed for another round of failed diplomacy?
Iran’s democrats are furious that former U.S. attorney general Ramsey Clark is protecting the mullahcracy he helped install
Every passing day brings Iran’s totalitarian regime closer to building the bomb. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recently announced that Iran “has joined the club of nuclear countries.” In February, Britain’s Telegraph reported that Tehran’s mullahs had issued a fatwa “sanctioning the use …

Iranian cleric: Muslims should denounce extremism

The headine for this article from the Tehran Times is slightly misleading if you thought Ayatollah Moqtadae, the Iranian cleric, was referring to extremism against all non-Muslims and Westerners. He meant extremist groups that regard Shias as infidels.
It’s worth noting that Ayatollah Khomeini again called on all Muslims to “unite against the enemy.” The enemy of course is the Great Satan – America et al.

Surprise! Iran Won’t Send Uranium Abroad

Tehran – Iran is refusing to send its low-enriched uranium abroad for further processing, the influential head of parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee was quoted as saying on Saturday.
“We do not want to give part of our 1 200 kilos of enriched uranium in order to receive fuel of 20% enrichment,” Alaeddin Borujerdi told the ISNA news agency.
“This option of giving our enriched uranium gradually or in one go is over now. We are studying how to procure fuel and (Ali Asghar) Soltanieh is negotiating to find a …
