Obama’s Organizing for America needs $500,000 to stop Sarah Palin

Former governor Sarah Palin is apparently such a threat to the Obama Administration that Organizing for America sent out an email today asking for donations to the tune of $500,000 to stop her.
Take a look.
Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn.
It’s dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term “Death Panels” — and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists.
Whatever …

Fury at plan to try September 11 mastermind near Ground Zero

America has officially returned to the mind-set of 9/10/2001. Just like the Clinton Administration, the Obama administration is treating terrorism as a law enforcement matter. The consequences of Obama’s AG Eric Holder’s decision to bring Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, the self-confessed mastermind behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack to Manhattan for a civilian trial will be incalculable. For starters, New York is already a bull-eye for terrorists– that threat just grew exponentially. Imagine the security measures that will be afforded to KSM compliments of the NYPD, diverting valuable resources from …

Clinton’s Iranian Connection

Rachel Ehrenfeld, the author of Funding Evil: How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop it, uncovers this latest Clinton Iranian Connection
On Dec. 19, 2008, at 2 p.m., the New York-based Alavi Foundation, which supports Iranian causes, contributed between $25,000 and $50,000 to the William J. Clinton Foundation. This can be best described as the ultimate chutzpah, for on the very same day, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York indicted the president of the Alavi Foundation, Farshid Jahedi, “on a charge of obstruction of justice for …

AP: Iran nuke plant 7 years old

As evidence mounts of Iran’s nefarious nuclear intentions, one wonders how many times this must be said: “Every passing day brings Iran’s totalitarian regime closer to building the bomb,” for people to start believing it. Back in 2006, I had reported on this very topic at the Western Standard, The Devil’s Advocate.
VIENNA — Iran’s recently revealed uranium enrichment hall is a highly fortified underground space that is a year away from completion after fitful construction that first started seven years ago, diplomats told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The diplomats …

FBI Knew of Hasan As Early As December 2008

Today, on this day when the memorial service was held at Fort Hood for the 13 victims who were murdered by suspected terrorist, Major Malik Nidal Hasan, we learn this:
The FBI issued a press release today, November 9, in which they said Major Malik Nidal Hasan was noticed by them as early as December 2008. His activities at the time attracted the interest of “one of their Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTFs).” Hasan was communicating with the subject of an unrelated investigation by the JTTF team.
They stated that a review …

Surprise! Iran Won’t Send Uranium Abroad

Tehran – Iran is refusing to send its low-enriched uranium abroad for further processing, the influential head of parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee was quoted as saying on Saturday.
“We do not want to give part of our 1 200 kilos of enriched uranium in order to receive fuel of 20% enrichment,” Alaeddin Borujerdi told the ISNA news agency.
“This option of giving our enriched uranium gradually or in one go is over now. We are studying how to procure fuel and (Ali Asghar) Soltanieh is negotiating to find a …

Tea Parties Against Amnesty

While it is no secret that America’s immigration system is broken, and this longstanding system breakdown adversely affects America’s national security and economy, the latest Rasmussen Report shows, “By a 70% to 22% margin, voters say that gaining control of the borders is more important than legalizing the status of undocumented workers already in the country.”

Madrassa reforms in tatters

A troubling report on the failure to reform madrassas–the “breeding grounds for jihad” in Pakistan from Dawn.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has virtually shelved a US-aided, multi-million-dollar plan to reform seminaries considered nurseries of jihad, faced with uncooperative Islamists, as the military cracks down on the Taliban.
The government, allied to then US president George W. Bush’s ‘war on terror,’ initiated the project in 2002 in a bid to introduce a more secular curriculum to madrassas, sensing a homegrown threat from extremism.
It was billed as a policy U-turn after military ruler General Ziaul …

Pakistan: Questions of sovereignty

Dawn provides this interesting read on the state of affairs in Pakistan and US aid.
Comments in the press and endless TV debates on terrorism and the American offer of aid to combat it have come to sound more like expressions of ego than of realism. These statements appear an exercise in politicking and posturing and do not look the hard economic realities in the eye.
Moreover, the views of political parties are coloured by their own interests. Most unrealistic and perturbing, however, is the stand of the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI). The …
