The National ICE Council representing approximately 7,000 ICE agents, officers and employees is calling on the public to take action to stop the Obama Administration’s backdoor secret policies “to win votes at the expense of sound and responsible law enforcement policy.”

Since I first began reporting on the crime and corruption at America’s immigration agencies, where federal officials were found to be taking bribes, be it for cash, sex, gifts, or jewelry in exchange for legal documents, the criminal activity continues.

First, I must confess, I was embarrassed for Mayor Bloomberg during his immigration reform launch that ignited speculation he would run for President because he was promoting his idea as though it were a brilliant solution when it already exists and is a failure because of a government agency. Last month immigration reform, one of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s “10 most important legislative priorities,” took another step forward when Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) unveiled the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity Act of 2009.” Over 85 house Democrats have co-sponsored his bill.
Gutierrez’s proposed legislation includes “earned legalization” for undocumented workers including their spouses and children. A payment of a $500 fine is required and a criminal background check must be passed.
